Jill Rogers is the Assistant Commissioner for Leadership, Talent, and Development. Jill was appointed in August 2023 after serving in an acting capacity since the end of January 2023. Prior to this she held the position of Counties Manukau District Commander which she led from 2017 at the rank of Superintendent.
After graduating from Police College in 1993, Jill started her policing career in General Duties in Auckland City and has spent the majority of her service in the Auckland region.
Jill joined the CIB in 1996 where she worked for 17 years and undertook significant roles in a range of serious, complex, and protracted criminal investigations.
Jill has been the Area Commander Auckland Central, a position she held for three years and has also worked in Waitematā District as the Area Prevention Manager North Shore.
Other senior positions held include Counties Manukau District Commander, Acting District Commander Auckland City and Acting Detective Superintendent Central Districts. Jill is currently Chair of the National Honours and Awards Committee.
In the short to medium term, Rogers' focus as Assistant Commissioner for Leadership, Talent, and Development includes Initial Training and Recruitment.
